St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic School is fully accredited by the State of Indiana and Lumen. Lumen Accreditation, offered by The Catholic University of America, is a program dedicated to supporting K-12 Catholic schools in fulfilling their mission through a distinctly Catholic approach to accreditation. Drawing on the Church’s educational heritage, Lumen seeks to foster continuous growth and renewal in Catholic schools, helping them create a culture rooted in the Gospel’s message of freedom, charity, and spiritual formation. Developed with input from bishops and educational leaders, Lumen Accreditation offers guiding principles that align school improvement goals with the Church’s vision for Catholic education, allowing schools to integrate their unique charisms and diocesan identities into a unified national framework.
