On Wednesday, September 11, 2019, Fr. Jacob Meyer from St. Monica's parish in Mishawaka visited St. Thomas students during a pep-rally to share his message of JOY.
JOY is an acronym that encourages individuals and students to work for Jesus, Others, and then Yourself. Fr. Jacob explained that JOY is a mindset - one that St. Thomas students and staff are embracing for the 2019-2020 school year.
Fr. Jacob, in his speech talks about being joyful, helping others, and putting the Lord first, in everything we do.
Students left the presentation energized and ready to help others but not before asking Fr. Jacob a few last minute questions. Their interaction with Fr. Jacob was genuine and students left feeling hopeful that they can be "difference makers," in the world!
